Bryant F Kelley, CPA
Partner and co-founder of Kelley & Starling, LLC. Bryant has over twenty-three (23) years of experience in both public and industry accounting in the areas of consolidations and financial reporting. Upon graduating from Texas A&M University, be began his career with Coopers and Lybrand; "C&L" (presently PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in January of 1986. While at C&L he performed auditing and financial reporting services for middle market to large corporations primarily in the energy, financial and healthcare markets. With the growth of his family, he moved into private industry where he worked as a financial controller. He continued his accounting and consulting career in public accounting as a senior manager for UHY (formerly Mann, Frankfort, Stein & Lipp) before accepting a position as chief accounting officer of Powerwell Services, Inc.; an oilfield service company that consisted of approximately 75 international subsidiary companies operating throughout the world. Powerwell Services was subsequently acquired by Expro (a UK based public company). Bryant continued with Expro for several years to assist with a conversion of Expro's accounting system to SAP and as controller of a joint venture where Expro held a 50% ownership interest. Since Expro's divestiture of its interest in the joint venture, Bryant worked as an accounting consultant prior to forming Kelley & Starling, LLC. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), The Financial Executive Networking Group (FENG) and The Chief Financial Officer Group. Bryant is also active in the community and currently serves on the finance committee for his Church.
Robert M Starling, CPA
Partner and co-founder of Kelley & Starling, LLC, Rob has over twenty eight (28) years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax, financial reporting and consulting. He has spent fourteen (14) years in senior financial management positions (CFO or SVP/Controller) for both public and private healthcare companies. During his tenure in industry, he gained significant experience in the areas of financial reporting, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, taxation, risk management, third party reimbursement, information technology, banking, finance and capital formation as well as corporate compliance. Rob worked with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) for thirteen (13) years. While at C&L, he worked as an audit manager and had numerous clients (both public and private) primarily in healthcare, oil & gas, petrochemical manufacturing and not-for-profits. Most recently, Rob was an independent consultant providing M&A advisory and financial reporting services to his clients prior to forming Kelley & Starling, LLC. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). He currently serves on the TSCPA's Healthcare Conference Committee.
